Hei!

I'm a British Indian from England and am here to learn how to sort out our future on the ENE programme! I studied Economics at the University of Warwick in England and graduated in 2009. I took part in a lot of extra curricular activities from drama to arranging conferences. Sometimes I think I spent more time on these than my degree!

So as soon as I arrived at NHH (and after a bit of hiking around the mountains) I got involved in the MEBA Forum, helping to organise a conference on making money from waste, this exposed me to the way business works in Norway and helped me to settle in better. I have also joined the MEBA Council, which is a great way to get know all the other MEBA students here.

As the Academic Chair, I am here to make sure that you enjoy your course as much as the activities that we have in store for you! We have plans for various company visits and guest lectures. There is also the opportunity to visit companies outside of Bergen which makes for a nice trip as well. Of course another major part of my role is to ensure that I present your views to the University - we have already managed to get a trial period of longer library opening hours and to allow students to bring a greater variety of calculators to exams. These might seem like little things, but any little thing to reduce stress helps when it comes to exam time!

If you have any ideas to make your academic experience more enjoyable then get in touch!

Peace and love,

Vikram
